Begur Living Nativity 2026
The Begur Theatrical Living Nativity, driven with passion by the Mutis and Mutis Jove theatre groups, transforms the corners of the historic centre of this iconic Empordà town into a unique Christmas scene where the Pastorets come to life. Check practical information on group operation, tickets and parking to plan your successful visit.
The Experience: A dramatized nativity scene
More than a static living nativity scene, Begur's is a true itinerant play. More than a hundred actors bring to life the most iconic scenes of Christmas (the Annunciation, Herod's palace, the spectacular world of demons and the Shepherds). All this musically accompanied by the contagious rhythm of the local batucada Bacanards Begur.

How to get there and where to park
- How to get there: Begur is easily accessible by road from towns such as Palafrugell or Pals. Attention to the traffic cuts that take place in the center of the town.
- Strategic parking: It is highly recommended not to try to enter the old town by car. Use the large parking areas available at the entrances to the town, such as the parking near Parc de l'Arbreda, and walk to Plaça de la Vila.
Practical information: accessibility
- Accessibility and mobility: Begur's own topography must be taken into account. The historic center where the activity takes place has very steep streets and sections of stairs that can be a challenge for wheelchairs or enclosed prams.
- Pets: Access policy not officially published. It is recommended to check directly with Turisme de Begur (turisme@begur.cat) before going there with animals.
Where to eat: local gastronomy
Begur has an excellent gastronomic offer of Empordà cuisine, but on winter weekends and Christmas time the establishments in the center that remain open tend to fill up quickly. We recommend you book a table many days in advance. Some of the highest-rated options in the town center are:
- Bar Restaurant Havana: A very popular and well-rated classic in the center of town.
- BEGURIO - Restaurant Begur: A cozy option with a very good reputation for lunch or meal.
- Sky Brunch & Restaurant: Ideal if you are looking for a different and excellently valued proposal at any time.
