The Breda Living Nativity 2026, organized since 2012 by the Dones de Breda association, is a true mass event that gathers 2,000 people. Take advantage of the majestic surroundings of the former monastery of Sant Salvador to deploy nearly 200 extras. The Experience: The descent of the angel

The performance of Breda stands out for being very dynamic: it has more than twenty spoken scenes, in motion and with recorded music, combining period costumes with traditional Catalan clothes. The most spectacular points that you cannot miss are:

  • The Descent of the Angel: The culminating moment of the Annunciation, where the angel descends directly from the bell tower of the town hall.
  • Local involvement: In addition to the 200 extras of all ages, the nativity has the collaboration of several farmhouses in the village to set the scene.

Times and dates of the edition

  • Date of representation: The event usually concentrates all its strength in a single Sunday just before the holidays (roughly December 20, 2026).
  • Performance times: The tour through the old town begins at 6:00 PM.

Tickets and advance purchase

Considering that the event gathers around 2,000 visitors in a single day, the organization recommends using theadvance purchase ticket to guarantee access and avoid long queues in the cold.

How to get there and parking

  • How to get there: The municipality of Breda is very accessible from the AP-7 and the transversal axis. Once there, the route takes in the heart of the historic center (around the Monastery).
  • Where to park: The influx is very high. The most recommended and spacious areas to leave the vehicle are located near the school zone and on the outskirts of the town. Follow the special municipal signage for the event at all times.

Practical information: accessibility and pets

  • Accessibility: The cobbled surroundings of the old abbey and the streets of the old town can present some irregularities. It is advisable to come prepared with comfortable shoes.
  • Pets: The entry policy with dogs is not officially specified. It is recommended to contact the organization if you plan to bring pets.
