Calonge Living Nativity 2026
The Calonge Living Nativity 2026, held continuously since 1997, takes place in the unique setting of the medieval castle. This Baix Empordà event links Christmas tradition with the local custom of making new wine. Check the times, access and ticket information before planning your family outing.
The Experience: A tour of the castle
The public circulates continuously to enjoy about twenty biblical scenes and historical handicrafts. More than a hundred characters in motion and in traditional clothing will accompany you on an itinerary that skirts the castle gardens, enters the majestic Plaça d'Armes and leaves through the medieval portal until you reach the Plaça Major.
Hours and dates of the Calonge Living Nativity
- Key dates: The event usually takes advantage of the heart of the festivities (Sant Esteve and subsequent days) to welcome visitors. This year the performances point to December 26, 27, and 28, 2026.
- Performance times: Performances start promptly at 19:00 h and last about an hour. It is highly recommended not to arrive late to be able to access the site comfortably.
Tickets and prices

- Adults: 5 € (historic general rate).
- Children (from 7 to 12 years): 3 €.
- Free access: As an excellent family plan, it applies free of charge by presenting a Club Super3 (SX3) card or to magazine subscribers Cavall Fort.
How to get there and parking
- Where to park: The town center has several perfectly signposted free parking areas, all at a maximum of 10 minutes on foot of the historic center. Follow the parking signs when you arrive in the village.

- Accessibility: Despite being located near the castle and Plaça d'Armes, the organization officially emphasizes that the tour is suitable for everyone.
- Pets: Access policy not officially published. We recommend that you check with the organization directly before traveling there with your animal.
