Jesús 2026 (Tortosa) Living Nativity
The Living Nativity of Jesús 2026, in the municipality of Tortosa, is one of the most emblematic living nativities in southern Catalonia. The Experience: A nativity scene of great heritage value
This work has been performed since 1986 in an incomparable setting: the Gardens of the Residence of the Teresian Sisters (Centre Sant Enric d'Ossó). It stands out especially for being a living nativity with live dialogue and moving scenes, combining with great historical rigor the staging of biblical passages with the recovery of traditions, traditional trades and classic Catalan customs.
Times and performance dates
- General Calendar: Performances are concentrated on specified dates, usually the 25, 26 and 28 December 2026, closing the season on 4 of January 2027.
- Pass times: To ensure that everyone can hear the live dialogue well, capacity is strictly regulated by passes. Three sessions are offered each performance day: at 6:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 8:00 PM.
- Duration: The tour of the grounds lasts approximately one hour.
Tickets, prices and contact
Admission is traditionally managed at the ticket office on the day of the event. Bear the following practical details in mind:
- General admission (Adults): The solidarity price at the ticket office is usually set around the 5 €.
- Children's access: Entry is free for children under 12 years of age (please inform ticket office).
- Payment method: It is highly recommended to bring the exact amount and be prepared for pay in cash once you arrive at the venue.

How to get there and parking
- Exact location: The site has its main access to theAvenida Santa Teresa, 16, within the EMD of Jesús (Tortosa).
- Parking: Parking must be done on the public road. There is usually room for streets adjacent to the town center or in the areas close to the College of Jesus. It is advisable to arrive with a minimum of 30 minutes before the time of your pass.
Where to eat: Options a few meters from the venue
When leaving the route, the organization has the detail of presenting the visitors with the classic taste of hot soup to recover the temperature. If you feel like sitting down to meal without having to take the car, the area surrounding the site (around Carrer de Daniel Mangrané) offers an interesting and next range of local establishments:
- La GELA: An excellent option for a casual meal, located within walking distance of the residence
- El Drac: Very close and practical place.
- Lo barranc de la vall cervera: An ideal establishment on the same street to enjoy the atmosphere of the town.
- Olímpic Bar: A classic cafe-bar in the area perfect for a drink before going in or grabbing a quick bite.
- Bar Modern: Another good option next to EMD Jesús.
