Spoken Living Nativity of Les Gunyoles 2026
The Spoken Living Nativity of Les Gunyoles 2026 (municipality of Avinyonet del Penedès) is a true theatrical icon born in 1976. What began as a performance of Els Pastorets de Folch i Torres has become a fully immersive performance in the middle of nature, culminating in the famous "Cova Gran." Check the pass system, prices and parking tips here.
The Experience: Tradition, theater and the surroundings of the Cova Gran
More than four decades of dedication have transformed the Les Gunyoles mountain range into a faithful recreation of the historical period. The show keeps the essence spoken and dramatized of its origins, offering a walking tour where the visitor is not limited to watching static scenes, but feels immersed in the scenes. The high point of the route is the spectacular natural stone cave.

How to get there, parking and arrival logistics
- Where to Park: From before reaching the center of Avinyonet, you will find signs specific to the nativity scene. There are volunteers who will guide you to the designated parking areas at the village entrance (space is limited on high weekends).
- Meeting point (The Society's Premises): Once parked, do not go straight into the hills. You must go to the "Local de la Societat" (historic building in the center of the town built by the efforts of local residents). Visitors for each session gather here before going together to the natural setting.
Gastronomy and previous tourism: Making a town
In addition to the traditional taste of hot soup (very necessary in the Penedès mountains in winter), we encourage you to arrive in time to enjoy the town (about 300 inhabitants). If you go there in the afternoon, take the opportunity to stroll through its old town, where the "Roman Tower" from the 1st century BC stands out. and the church built in 1776 on Romanesque remains.
