The Pals Living Nativity 2026 reaches its 39th edition consolidating as one of the essential appointments in the Baix Empordà. The old town and the Gothic precinct of the village offer a incomparable architectural framework. The experience: A journey through time through the Gothic site
More than 200 extras and the invaluable collaboration of the people of the town and the farmers of the area give life close to 50 scenes and scenes. The tour combines a moving format and static, accompanied by live and recorded music.
The great asset of this representation is its exceptional use of the old town of Pals. the streets cobblestones, arches and medieval architecture serve as a natural setting to relive the most relevant events of the Old Testament and the birth of Jesus, accompanied by costumes that have been taken care of down to the last detail.
Times and dates of the edition
- Performance days: The calendar is structured in two key weekends. the performances are scheduled for the days December 26 and 27, 2026, and 1 and 3 of January 2027.
- Opening range: Performances start at 18:00 h and end at 20:00 h. The passes are organized in stages every 30 minutes (18:00 h, 18:30 h, 19:00 h and 19:30 h).
Tickets, ticket office and access regulations
The organization offers two ways to ensure access to the site. Although we recommend avoiding queues by making the reservation online, they also have an in-person sales point.
- Online sale: Available through the platform Codetickets (required search "Pals Living Nativity").
- Sale at the Ticket Office: It will be operational on the same days of performance in the courtyard of Ca la Pruna, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
- Regulations for Minors: Children under 12 have access free, but pay attention: they must have a ticket physical/digital for capacity control. In addition, all minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
How to get there and parking management
- Access to the old town: Since all the performance takes place in the historic area, the central streets remain closed to road traffic.
- Where to park: Pals has several parking areas on the outskirts of the Gothic complex. You can use the enabled deterrent parking near the entrance roads or the dedicated parking for motorhomes (if you come with this type of vehicle), allowing you to walk the last few minutes to Ca the plum
Gastronomy: Tradition and quality restaurants
The visit would not be complete without the classic taste of hot soup offered to enter in the heat of the Emporda winter evenings.
At the end of the route, if you want to take the opportunity to have meal and extend the visit, the gastronomic offer around the gothic enclosure is of great quality. Here are some great options within walking distance:
- Vicus Restaurant (Carrer Pere Coll Rigau): An exceptional choice if you are looking for refined cuisine and careful use of local ingredients.
- Antic Casino Restaurant Pals: Strategically well located at the gates of the area historic, ideal for a good meal from the land.
- Restaurant El Pedró and Restaurant La Vila: Two classic options, very well located near of the wall to immerse yourself in the authentic cuisine of the area.
Given the large number of visitors during the living nativity dates, prior booking at the town’s restaurants is highly recommended.
