Tona (Osona) Living Nativity 2026
Known as Osona’s Living Nativity, the Tona event is one of the oldest and most established in Catalonia, active since 1972. With more than five decades of history, it stands out for its impressive woodland setting below the castle and its spoken scenes. Here is everything you need to plan your visit.
The experience: A forest of oaks and lively scenes
The route has an approximate duration of 45 minutes and it literally goes into the woods below the castle, among oaks and holm oaks that act as natural shelter. It is an assembly that is built from scratch every year by fully integrating into nature.
Tona's biggest asset is that the vast majority of scenes are acted out live voice, accompanied by amazing light and sound effects. The more than 200 people involved in the project turn the forest into a spectacular outdoor Christmas theater.
